Ceretto Barolo 'Brunate' 2003
Ceretto Barolo 'Brunate' 2003 The terraced Brunate vineyard is often thought of as one of the finest vineyards in Barolo. The vineyard is located on the southern border of the La Morra commune and produces wines that have classic rose petal and tar aromas, deep, rich, smoky black fruit flavours and fine, firm tannins. The 2004 Barolo Brunate is sweet, pure and beautiful in its expression of dark fruit, tobacco, menthol and toasted oak. This poised, nuanced Barolo reveals outstanding length, well-integrated tannins and a judicious use of French oak, with a long, lingering finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019. 93/100 Robert Parker Shows plenty of white truffle and blackberry, with coffee bean undertones. Full-bodied, firm and silky, with a long finish. Very pretty and fresh. Best after 2011 92/100 Wine Spectator
