Jean Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis 'Fourchaume' 1er Cru 2006 Sporting a generous lashing of wood that plays tug-of-war for center stage with the ripe green fruit and sea breeze aromas and continues to have an influence on the rich, full and powerful flavours that display a beguiling tecture on the racy and punchy finish. This will likely come into balance with a year or twoi of bottle age as there is good concentration though I suspect that there will always be textural impact, especially on the finish.
