Prophet's Rock Central Otago Pinot Gris 2009 This is very classy New Zealand Pinot Gris that shows all of the depth and seriousness that top examples of this variety can exhibit. "Distinct pear drop aromatics with a ripe, heady aura. Oily in texture with a savoury spiciness, it seems dry to start but a seam of lusciousness underpins the focussed palate. Flavours are layered with pip fruit, sage-like herbs, savoury oak and spices." Sue Courtney
