Rudi Pichler Riesling Smaragd Achleithen 2006 Medium green-yellow. Ripe greengage plum, peach and apricot blossom on the nose. Very well balanced and elegant, with a firm acid structure framing the delicate apricot and peach flavors. Lively minerality adds interest to the palate and contributes grip to the lingering finish. This youthful wine makes a surprisingly light impression, offering substantial drinking pleasure right now but also possessing very good potential for further development. - 93/100 Stephen Tanzer
