Villa Cafaggio 'Cortaccio' 2004 A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine from three old vine plots on the Cafaggio estate. Cortaccio is one of the most serious and rare of the Tuscan Cabernet-based wines. Definitely one for the cellar. Inky dark ruby to the rim. Roasted, superripe aromas of blackcurrant, road tar and graphite; warm and powerful. Massive and sumptuous on the palate, with succulent, sensual fruit. Ripe tannins coat the mouth; the wine’s great length promises a long life ahead. Lovely nose, black fruit and red berries, peppery.
