Zind Humbrecht Riesling Grand Cru 'Brand' 2001 Olivier Humbrecht MW is perhaps one of the finest (not to mention, tallest) winemakers currently working. He manages to make phenomenally concentrated terroir-driven wines every year. We have very limited stocks of his very famous Riesling from the Grand Cru vineyard of Brand. "Bright yellow. Subtle aromas of apple, orange peel, nectarine and spices. Impressively dense and rich, with sharply defined flavours of nectarine and minerals. Wonderfully ripe and tactile. Comes across as dry despite carrying about seven grams of sugar. Impressively long ripe/dry finish of great class. This will grow increasingly minerally over the next eight to ten years.
