Domaine de la Mordoree Lirac Blanc Cuvée Reine des Bois 2010 The finest Lirac Blanc we have tasted.Produced from a blend of 30% Grenache Blanc, 15% Viognier, 15% Rousanne, 10% Marsanne, 10% Picpoul, 10% Clairette and 10% Bourboulenc. The average age of the vines is 30 years and yields are low at 35hl/ha. The wine is 25% barrel fermented and has aromas of peaches, apricot and pears with a rounded, full flavoured finish. Can be enjoyed young but will improve and develop greater complexity with 12 months cellarage, keeping for a further 3-4 years. This is a white wine for the outdoors! Enjoy with seafood grilled on a charcoal or wood fire.
