Brocard Chablis 'Butteaux' 1er Cru 2007
Brocard Chablis 'Butteaux' 1er Cru 2007 An expressive nose of ripe green apple and shell fish complements powerful and almost painfully intense medium plus flavors underpinned by a firm core of ripe acidity and a tautly muscled and gorgeously persistent finish. This is brimming with dry extract that lends a textured mouth feel and should allow this to develop for up to a decade and last for up to another. In a word, terrific.- 90-93/100 Burghound Pale, green-tinged color. Sexy aromas of citrus peel, stone and white truffle. Sweet and dense but at the same time juicy and penetrating, with lovely limey lift contributing to an impression of intensity. This tight wine boasts a terrific core of citrus, saline and spice flavor and finishes long and serious, with superb backbone.- 91/100 Stephen Tanzer
