Niepoort Colheita Port 1986 Niepoort's Colheita Ports are really their Party Trick, and represent some of the estate's best buying. Colheita Ports are wines made from a single harvest, and are first-rate tawny vintage ports. To be declared Colheita Ports, they must be kept in oak for at least 7 years, but it is not unusual to find 10, 15, and even up to 50 year aged Colheita Ports. Colheitas are one the most rare Port styles and production is a fraction of all Port made. They tend to be very complex wines with a nutty, caramel flavours and silky texture.
