La Chablisienne Chablis Grand Cru 'Les Grenouilles' 2004 92/100 Burghound(from very old vines). "As with several wines in the range, the wood here assumes center stage and relegates the exotic and ripe fruit aromas to the background and there is enough wood here that it has an effect on the mouth feel as well. On the plus side of the ledger, the flavors are quite rich, powerful, dense and brimming with extract, all wrapped in a long and mouth coating finish. This isn’t at all my style but there is no question that this is a big and dramatic wine where my score again assumes that the wood can be integrated with a few years in bottle."
