Ch Climens, Barsac 2008 750ml Ch Climens has a long and well-documented history stretching back about 500 years. Often talked about as second only to Yquem in terms of sweet wine from France, and certainly the very best of its appellation. No reviews of the finished as usual, but Decanter has given their appraisal upon tasting the separate components. "As usual, not yet assembled: three 1st trie, five 2nd trie, two 3rd trie, together with a mini assemblage were tasted. The overall impression was of great purity and freshness, intense fruit acidity with just medium richness. There is around 120 grams of residual sugar against 150g in 2007. The assembled cask showed the aromatic quality and length. Drink 2012-2032. 5 Stars, 18.5 points - Decanter Magazine
