Brocard Chablis 'Fourchaume' 1er Cru 2007
Brocard Chablis 'Fourchaume' 1er Cru 2007 This too offers up aromas of green apple but the floral and discreetly spicy side of Fourchaume is on parade as well while preceding bigger, richer and more powerful flavors that possess an intense minerality and excellent length and power if perhaps not quite the same depth. However, the wines are so close in overall quality that the minor advantage that the Butteaux displays at the moment may or may not be there when the wines are actually bottled. The important point though is that the two wines display distinctly different personalities and both could, and should, be enjoyed for their individuality. 90-92/100 Burghound
