"Rich and spicy Shiraz with lots of plum and black fruits on the nose and a smooth, velvety taste. This wine has the deep colour, dense fruit and well balanced structure typical of southern French Shiraz. A perfect match for a wide range of dishes such as lamb chops, mushroom risotto and hard cheeses."

Here's what the back label says: "The name La Chasse is derived from the historic chest that contained the great reliquries of the Pontiffs who lived in Avignon during the 14th Century. La Chasse Shiraz (also known as Syrah) is sourced from the finest Languedoc vineyards in the south of France. Our winemakers carefully select the noble grapes to create this classic Shiraz.
This vibrant and full-flavoured red wine displays lively violet and red berry aromas and is in a smooth, fruity, medium-bodied style on the palate, with a long satisfying finish. Enjoy La Chasse Shiraz on its own or with chicken, barbecues and cheese. Drinking well now or cellar for up to four years."
