Joël Delaunay 'Tydy' Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Joël Delaunay 'Tydy' Sauvignon Blanc 2011 GOLD MEDAL: Concours National des Caves Particulieres “Tydy" (standing for Thierry Delaunay) is overtly fruity and captivatingly fresh, beautifully balanced, long and full in the mouth, it offers many aromas of green melon, blackcurrant leaves, grapefruit and lemon, as well as some floral and mineral notes. Best drunk when young and fresh, especially with fish and seafood. Also makes a fine aperitif. Located between the famous, storybook Chateaux of Chenonceau and Chambord, fifty kilometres east of the city of Tours. This twenty seven hectare estate has passed from father to son for five generations. During the past forty years, the domaine has steadily expanded, with the planting of new vines, construction of cellars and showroom, and the development of a winery equipped with the latest technology.
