13%Abv 100% Chardonnay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Area: (1.08 acres)
Vineyards: 35+-year-old vines are planted in limestone and calcareous clay soils with a high clay content and an eastern aspect; and, located just below the slopes of the Premier Cru vineyards of Chassagne-Montrachet. This cuvée is a blend made from four different lieux-dits, namely Voillenot Dessous, Concis des Champs, Les Charrières & Fontaine Sot.

"Pronounced minerality and appealing citrus, raw almond and green apple notes. Well-balanced with a bright acidity, there is an underlying essence of butter on the fine, mineral cut finish."

“This Chassagne-Montrachet combines supple texture with lively acidity, lending a lean impression overall. Exhibits apple, lemon and vanilla flavors, with a lingering, toasty aftertaste. Drink now through 2030.”

“Here too there is an exotic quality to the aromas of resin, white peach and orange peel. The texture of the middle weight flavors is again quite sleek with fine intensity that carries over to the relatively powerful, complex and lingering finish where a touch of rusticity slowly emerges. This is quite good for its level and worth consideration.”

“Patience pays off if you give this young wine some space and time. With sweet yellow plum and the peppery tannins of chamomile flowers. A day later, the wine has lengthened out, the chamomile fragrance infusing the fruit. Hold this for a year or two, then decant it before serving.”

“A paler colour with a light green tint. The bouquet is quite restrained. Some fresh apples on the palate, the thread of useful acidity which looks to be typical this year and notably more length on the palate. No more than middle weight but good energy. Three to five years.”
